Barkada Summer Escapade at Bato Spring Resort

Last month, me and my friends decided to plan an out of town but friendly budget weekend summer getaway. After a long conversation (urong/sulong), finally we decided to push the plan. We considered the Location (near Bulacan/Manila), Budget (each budget should not more than 1500) and Room availability (peak and weekend season)and our schedule. We were looking for a perfect summer resort near Manila and  Laguna was one of our choices. After searching and reading good reviews about Bato Spring Resort we decided to visit it.  Bato Spring Resort is located in  Brgy San Cristobal,San Pablo City. We spent almost 3 hours from Cubao going there. We reserved 2 rooms for an overnight stay.

Trees, trees, trees everywhere

Here are my pros and cons about the place:

Pros:
  • Perfect venue if you are looking for a place to relax close to nature
  • Icy cold water perfect for a very hot summer
  • Very comfortable room and affordable room rates
  • Kind and accommodating staffs
Cons :
  • Flies buzzing around our food
  • No cooking area only grilling area
  • Pricey charge for sinaing. Since there is no cooking area we asked the canteen staff to cook for our rice and they charge us 120 pesos for 2 kilos of rice.
  • Noise everywhere, I experienced waking up around 2 am because of the noise of people passing our room looking for available room to stay.

Tip:
Never visit this resort in peak season. Place could be very crowded and dirty as well. The management was not able to maintain the cleanliness of the place due the high number of visitors.

Crowded due to peak season

These are the two rooms we rented for an overnight stay.

In spite of all my negative comments we enjoyed our stay in the place.
