Glimpse from my primary years: Short bonding with elementary friends

Photo from Lifein4B

Nine years had gone so fast. I got more friends from high school and college which I enjoyed a lot.  On and off to Makati (my boarding place),  I had no time with socializing with my old friends not until one day I was surprise when Christine, Maureen and Leo knocked in our doorsteps and asked me to come over with them. Since I was free that time I went out with them to stay in Mark’s home.

It was a nice feeling to talk with them. It’s been so long time since we last see each other and I am happy they visited me.  Masaya ako super to have short time chatting and recalling my younger years. Sayang I missed the suppose to be swimming pero naging picnic lang palang reunion pero nakakainggit ang kwento nilang masaya daw yun. I am hoping and encouraging na sana sumama yung iba next time kasi it’s really a great feeling to be with them. I hardly laugh as we recall my timba moments (LOL).  We also recall the bully moments ni Mata  and the bansag we used to have.

I was happy to know that Leo Angelo Mata “Aka Mata” has grown mature somehow. He’s a great entertainer and leader to the group. Well, ma pang alaska parin but as I chat with him I was able to discover his serious side. On the other hand I was happy to hear that Mark Anthony Manaois is saying “Nag aaral na ko mabuti”. He’s taking up Criminology. Nice naman keep it up. Pag grumaduate ka maging mabuting pulis ka sana :D . Aside from that I was able to see serious side of Christine Caraveo “aka Inday”. She was my bestfriend during my Elementary years :D. Nakakatuwang we had that chance to bond together again. It’s been a long time since we part and nagulat na lang ako sa mga sumunod na nangyari sa buhay nya. Anyways she was achieving to finish school. Maureen was already working in CHR , she just shared few stories about her past relationship. Okay lang yan may darating at darating din na para sayo :D

I enjoy the games we played facilitated by Leo (iba ka na talaga :D ). Ikutan ng tanong tungkol sa mga bagay-bagay: tulad ng crush na artista, mga bagay na naacchieve at gustong maachieve, mga regrets sa buhay at marami pang iba. O diba ang saya saya.  Sana maulit ulit at sana maraming sumama next time para mas masaya.  Sana mag organize ulit sila. Saka sana weekend diba  para makasama ako.

Photos will be post the soonest I have it.

A Must Have Book: Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus

Cover of John Gray's Book : “Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus"
For a long time I heard good reviews about John Gray’s bookMen are from Mars, Women are from Venus”.  I read few great books like Tuesday’s with Morrie and 5 people you meet in heaven by Mitch Albom (these are my favorite books), Bo Sanchez blogs and books, and few more of self-help books. I had plenty of eBooks and many of them are unfinished yet.

At first I was not interested to read this book. I thought I was not ready to read the book and I just don’t know about the author itself. But after meeting Lory and sharing what book is all about, I got so eager to read this book. Lory is my officemate who lend me this book. She bought the book from Korea and I just felt that this book is so precious to her, yet she shared it to me. I was fascinated with her sharing this precious book and that made me decide to read this. Later on buy my own book.

As she handed me this book and start reading it, I found myself nodding and agreeing with what John Gray (the author) was saying. The book was so powerful. It made me cry a bit as the author shared his story. Somehow I feel related with her wife Bonnie. The book have amazing thoughts many people need to know and to understand in having a relationship “to anyone.”

Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus has given me the following:

1. I learn to understand my parents. My father and my mother and their misunderstandings;
2. Glenn, our relationship together a young couple , our misunderstandings and demands as man and woman;
3.   My brothers, sisters and friends as a person with different sexes and different needs;
4.   And most of all MYSELF as woman, my reactions  expectations and needs.

        The book has brought me interesting views about people and taught me better way of communicating and understanding them. Although in the book most of the discussions are made for couple there are vivid descriptions and interpretations about men and women individual differences.

          I just bought my own book and I’m not yet finish reading it. As the author was saying the book will serve as a reference. Something you need to reread to be refresh. To get better grasp on what this book is all about, I encourage everyone to read this book; married, in a relationship or single (whatever your status is). I bet you will enjoy reading the book.

With new learnings,
