I was
lucky to be invited in a great thanksgiving party of Myke Regacho
(main performer) who was from Indiana, USA. He just came back for a
vacation here in the Philippines for a month. The event was held in a
very prestige place “Metro Bar”. Name it prestige because many
popular singers, comediennes, and bands had performed in the place
but that night I just felt we owned the place. Metro Bar is located
in West Avenue, Quezon City. The location is one jeepney away from SM
North EDSA.

So
what's the interesting thing about attending Mykel’s Thanksgiving
party? Hmmm … Well first I don’t personally know him but I had
the privilege to meet him and his family and listen to his
magnificent voice ala Bruno Mraz. (Most of his performed songs are
from Bruno Mars and Jason Mraz). I was
able to get a ticket because Glenn (my loving and talented boyfriend)
was the lead guitar of Nuklear band who was ask to perform with
Myke. I was proud to see them (Nuklear Band) to perform in the
prestige stage. They performed the following songs: Bandila, Jetlag,
Remedy, Wonderful tonight and many more. Aside from them, there is
also Yellow Lane Band with their saxophone. They also performed well
in the stage.
The
best part of the party is when I had the privileged to meet Tita Liza
(Mykel’s mom) who was very kind and accommodating, Joemar(Glenn’s
friend), and also I was happy to personally meet Myke and able to
talk with him.(He was drunk that time hope he still remember me.)
A lot
of people (it was actually their clan; friends and relatives) are
happily dancing and drinking. I and Glenn took few shots as well and
enjoyed the rest of the night with everyone. I also had a chance to
talk with Ethel as she was so busy taking photos (aka official
photographer of the event).Nell party so hard :D and that was
documented. The party end around two in the morning with a fantastic
souvenir, Myke’s album – compiled songs he recorded when he was
in US .
That was indeed a great
party. A great privilege to meet new people, talk with this
people and experience their passion for music.
