My First sip of Milky Way Tea

My first sip of Milky Way Hokkaido Black Milk Tea
After our Thursday shift my me and teammates decided to take a sweet sip of Milk Tea in Milky Way Tea. MilkyWay Tea is located in Ground Floor, Fern Corp Center Bldg., Escriva Drive, Ortigas Center Pasig City. Milky Way also serves breakfast aside from Classic Milk Tea, Natural fruit tea, Yakult fruit Tea, Brewed tea, Slush, Rocksalt and Creamy Cheese tea, Yogurt Ice Cream and Moffle (mocha and waffle). All comes with different flavors to choose from.
It was my first time to visit the place and so I tried what Ricci (one of my officemates) told me, Hokkaido Black Tea. Thumbs up for Hokkaido Black tea. I enjoyed it. Hokkaido Tea comes with black tea, milk , caramel and ice and black pearl sago. I bought 1 regular size for 95 pesos, enough to full my tummy.

It was a fun day to bond with my workmates. I find the dining area cute and colorful. I super enjoyed the healthy milk tea plus lovely conversations and a lot of picture taking.

Me and my office mate. . .Picture galore in Milky Way Tea dinning area.

Happy 64th Birthday Papa

Papa smiling : no false teeth, no big smile :D
“Your birthday is a special time to celebrate the gift of 'YOU' to the world.”

I was so touch to see the glimpse of smile on my father's face as he saw us preparing something for his birthday. We was so surprise to see the foods being prepared; pansit, cake, bread and ice cream as he was busy in the television. We are very much glad to see my father happy for the efforts made even the celebration is simple.  It was my father's 64th birthday and we thank God for giving as such a hardworking padre de familia. This  simple celebration is also our way of thanking him for all the sacrifices he did and continuously doing for us.

Papa's roll cake from Goldilocks yum yum yum :)

My Birthday Wish for Papa

My very big wish for him is for him to stay healthier and sick free and I still keep in my prayers is for him to quit in smoking the soonest, also for him to stay caring and loving to his kids and to mama even there are not so good times in our family that I know he never fails to do.

Thank you so much Papa. We love you so much.

Always thankful,

Happy Father's Day Papa

What a beautiful moment to see my papa with a big smile and eyes sparking in joy. His smile made my day so wonderful as my sister handed to him my father's day gift. He wished for a new shoes and so his wish was my command.

Last Saturday me and Glenn went to SM Megamall to buy the shoes that he wanted. My father is a simple person, as much as possible he don't ask for expensive gifts. Since malls offered sale and discounts for some items we grab the chance to purchase discounted shoes for papa. We bought him a running shoes from Fila. It was a bit pricey, but it okay (why settle for less, father's day comes once in a year.)

I was a bit shy to give my gift to papa and so I asked my little sister to do it for me. My father and I use to be close before but as I grow older things had change, walls cover up the closeness. Still hoping one day I can break the wall little by little. As my sister handed the gift my father showed his big smile with eyes sparking in joy. That was a priceless moment for me. To see my father happy gave me the best feeling that time ever. That was more than saying thank you for me.

Cherished moments with Papa

I have a lot of recalled best moments with papa. In my childhood days I love sitting on my father's lap. I kept on asking my papa for piso when I was young to buy some candies (that time piso is not equal to one candy ). I also tried faking my sleep in salas and he will carry me to our bed(magical moment for kids). I remember asking my papa to go home during his toma sessions with kapitbahay and he will give me suhol so I would go back home. I remember waiting for weekend to come because I miss him so much and his pasalubong and until now I still look forward to spend sometime with him during weekend. Most of all I remember the time he was drunk and he asked sorry  with teary eyes that I had to work to go to college because we are poor(I remember that but he don't.).

I have a Great Father

I am so grateful to have a responsible, loving father. I am inspired to finish college and have a better job because of my father. I love and respect my father so much and I thank God for giving me the best father I could ever have.

Happy Father's day to my father and to all fathers in the world.

With heart filled with gratefulness,

Relaxing Thai Massage in Nuat Thai Pearl Drive

Saving my Monday by relaxing in Nuat Thai was worth it. Since Monday is Memorial Day in US and our office was closed, me and Glenn (was on leave that time) decided to visit Nuat Thai to get a Thai Massage. Believe me the experience was amazing.

I enjoyed my Thai massage for only 300 pesos whole body massage with oil. I loved the stretching with different positions. The message Therapist ask me to choose from hard and soft and I chose the hard massage. As expected it was hard and I bit painful at first, but I was able to enjoy it specially the stretching.

Bonding Moments with my Brother and Sisters

Brothers and sisters are as close as hands and feet.  ~ Vietnamese Proverb
It's been a year since I started having a new life as an IT professional. I been working many kilometers away from home and so later on I decided to move near my work. I am currently boarding in Makati.  At first I find hard to adjust but later on I was able to cope with hot, polluted and  high cost of living city. I am now independently living for myself. I only come for home every weekend to see my family, and then go back to boarding house.

Then, just come up with a realization how much I miss my family especially my brother and sisters. Whenever I'm home I usually sleep or going out with Glenn. I miss bonding with them.  They have alot of bonding that we never use to have before like watching basketball games, talking alot of things (most of the time non sense), cracking not so funny jokes and more. To make bawi for all the missed moments with them. I  tried getting close again to them by asking them to eat with me once in awhile, to come with me in The Feast(Happiest Place on earth ) and more. It's quite expensive yet I'm happy to know that I'm investing happy and unforgettable moments with them by taking responsible with other bills in our house and by sweet treats.

It was nice growing up with someone like you - someone to lean on, someone to count on...someone to tell on. I love you all :)

More treats soon. . .

Mother’s Day: Sweet Treat 2012

I grew up looking at my mother as monster mom. When I was young she was hard on us. She shouts, she threw negative words to us, not really supportive; she disciplined us the hard way. She was a grumpy mother she talks a lot (she can do sermon all day long). I grew up hating her until I realize her great value to our family. As I grow mature I realize that her imperfections are coming from her experiences when she was younger. I also realize that behind these imperfections, she is indeed a great and responsible mother.

She’s there beside us when we are sick, making sure we are well. She is also protective to us. She gets mad when someone is treating us not well.  She cares and loves us even there are times we disobey her. Knowing all these I realize how lucky we are and we love her so much.

Since mother’s day was celebrated every 2nd week of May. I also wanted to recognize mama for being here with us, for the care, love and patience. We bought a cake from Red Ribbon and flowers which she appreciated. We had a lot of pictures together and we have fun all the day laughing and enjoying the day.

Pictures of this great day are posted below:

It was indeed a grateful day for mama and for the whole family. Next in the list Father's day.

Happy,

Glimpse from my primary years: Short bonding with elementary friends

Photo from Lifein4B

Nine years had gone so fast. I got more friends from high school and college which I enjoyed a lot.  On and off to Makati (my boarding place),  I had no time with socializing with my old friends not until one day I was surprise when Christine, Maureen and Leo knocked in our doorsteps and asked me to come over with them. Since I was free that time I went out with them to stay in Mark’s home.

It was a nice feeling to talk with them. It’s been so long time since we last see each other and I am happy they visited me.  Masaya ako super to have short time chatting and recalling my younger years. Sayang I missed the suppose to be swimming pero naging picnic lang palang reunion pero nakakainggit ang kwento nilang masaya daw yun. I am hoping and encouraging na sana sumama yung iba next time kasi it’s really a great feeling to be with them. I hardly laugh as we recall my timba moments (LOL).  We also recall the bully moments ni Mata  and the bansag we used to have.

I was happy to know that Leo Angelo Mata “Aka Mata” has grown mature somehow. He’s a great entertainer and leader to the group. Well, ma pang alaska parin but as I chat with him I was able to discover his serious side. On the other hand I was happy to hear that Mark Anthony Manaois is saying “Nag aaral na ko mabuti”. He’s taking up Criminology. Nice naman keep it up. Pag grumaduate ka maging mabuting pulis ka sana :D . Aside from that I was able to see serious side of Christine Caraveo “aka Inday”. She was my bestfriend during my Elementary years :D. Nakakatuwang we had that chance to bond together again. It’s been a long time since we part and nagulat na lang ako sa mga sumunod na nangyari sa buhay nya. Anyways she was achieving to finish school. Maureen was already working in CHR , she just shared few stories about her past relationship. Okay lang yan may darating at darating din na para sayo :D

I enjoy the games we played facilitated by Leo (iba ka na talaga :D ). Ikutan ng tanong tungkol sa mga bagay-bagay: tulad ng crush na artista, mga bagay na naacchieve at gustong maachieve, mga regrets sa buhay at marami pang iba. O diba ang saya saya.  Sana maulit ulit at sana maraming sumama next time para mas masaya.  Sana mag organize ulit sila. Saka sana weekend diba  para makasama ako.

Photos will be post the soonest I have it.

A Must Have Book: Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus

Cover of John Gray's Book : “Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus"
For a long time I heard good reviews about John Gray’s bookMen are from Mars, Women are from Venus”.  I read few great books like Tuesday’s with Morrie and 5 people you meet in heaven by Mitch Albom (these are my favorite books), Bo Sanchez blogs and books, and few more of self-help books. I had plenty of eBooks and many of them are unfinished yet.

At first I was not interested to read this book. I thought I was not ready to read the book and I just don’t know about the author itself. But after meeting Lory and sharing what book is all about, I got so eager to read this book. Lory is my officemate who lend me this book. She bought the book from Korea and I just felt that this book is so precious to her, yet she shared it to me. I was fascinated with her sharing this precious book and that made me decide to read this. Later on buy my own book.

As she handed me this book and start reading it, I found myself nodding and agreeing with what John Gray (the author) was saying. The book was so powerful. It made me cry a bit as the author shared his story. Somehow I feel related with her wife Bonnie. The book have amazing thoughts many people need to know and to understand in having a relationship “to anyone.”

Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus has given me the following:

1. I learn to understand my parents. My father and my mother and their misunderstandings;
2. Glenn, our relationship together a young couple , our misunderstandings and demands as man and woman;
3.   My brothers, sisters and friends as a person with different sexes and different needs;
4.   And most of all MYSELF as woman, my reactions  expectations and needs.

The book has brought me interesting views about people and taught me better way of communicating and understanding them. Although in the book most of the discussions are made for couple there are vivid descriptions and interpretations about men and women individual differences.

I just bought my own book and I’m not yet finish reading it. As the author was saying the book will serve as a reference. Something you need to reread to be refresh. To get better grasp on what this book is all about, I encourage everyone to read this book; married, in a relationship or single (whatever your status is). I bet you will enjoy reading the book.

With new learnings,
